The new Bentayga Speed is the most powerful, dynamic, and hardcore Bentayga to date, managing to outperform its acclaimed W12 predecessor with increased power, performance, and the most dynamic chassis setup ever offered on a Bentayga.

The heart of the new Bentyaga Speed is a new twin-turbo 4.0-litre V8 engine that produces 650 PS (641bhp) and 850 Nm (627 lb.ft) of torque. The new powertrain allows the new Bentayga flagship to accelerate from 0-62mph in just 3.4 seconds and achieve a top speed of 193mph. The Bentayga Speed now features significant advances in dynamic capability with a newly enhanced SPORT chassis mode and a new ESC Dynamic setting that allows the driver to select either enhanced road-holding or the ability to even slide, yes slide, the motorcar.

The new 4.0-litre Twin Turbo V8 and a Dramatic Soundtrack

The new V8 engine of the Bentayga Speed easily eclipses its previous iterations with its new performance enhancements:

The New Bentayga Speed: 0-60mph 3.4 seconds

Bentayga V8 S: 0-60mph 4.4 seconds

Bentayga W12 Speed: 0-60mph in 3.9 seconds

Peak torque of 850 Nm (627 lb-ft) is delivered between 2,250-4,500 rpm. It features the characteristic Bentley “torque plateau” that provides the iconic effortless wave of acceleration that is a hallmark of Bentley performance.

The engine is also more charismatic than the previous generation W12 Bentayga Speed, and as standard, it is fitted with a Sports exhaust system that delivers a rich and powerful engine note, complementing the character of the new V8. This Sport exhaust can be distinguished by two elliptical tailpipes that emerge through the rear diffuser. However, for those seeking an even more thrilling soundtrack, an optional Titanium Akrapovic Exhaust is available, accentuating the drama and potency of the V8. This optional exhaust features quad tailpipes.

Enhanced Dynamic Capabilities

There are a total of three driving modes available on the Bentayga Speed, of which both COMFORT and BENTLEY have remained unchanged from the standard Bentayga. This is to ensure the exceptional day-to-day and grand touring competency that has been a staple of every Bentley ever produced. However, SPORT mode has been significantly enhanced to deliver an increase in steering response, road holding, and driver connection, as well as a 15% increase in suspension damping stiffness. SPORT mode also enables the driver to exploit the full power of the V8 when cornering and experience the exceptionally agile turn-in capabilities of brake torque vectoring.

Bentley is also offering carbon ceramic brakes as an option, along with the ability to select ESC Dynamic in SPORT mode, which relaxes ESC intervention to permit drifting or power-on oversteer. Torque vectoring by the brake allows for sharper turn-in and more power to be applied during corner exiting. ESC Dynamic programming also includes Launch Control, which is the first for any Bentayga model.

The Bentayga Speed also now includes all-wheel steering, which allows the rear wheels to be steered in the opposite direction to the front wheels to aid in rapid change of direction at low and medium speeds. This allows for a noticeable increase in agility and reduces the turning circle. The result is a sharper steering feel and a commensurate increase in steering feel.

Powerful Design Statement

Exterior details that denote the new Bentayga Speed include dark tint brightware, bright chrome Speed badges on the leading edge of the front doors, and 22” Speed wheels in either dark tint or silver. There are also new, unique Speed headlamps that feature dark tint internals and dark tint bezel and tail lamps in grey with a dark tint bezel. Another first in Bentley history, a 23” Speed wheel is available as an option when optioning for the carbon ceramic brakes that come in a choice of grey satin, black, or black and bright machined finishes. The calipers are available in a selection of seven colors.

Lastly, there is the option of a Speed black roof, which is finished in either gloss or satin, depending on the body finish. The black roof, which also encompasses the lower section of the tailgate spoiler, makes a powerful impact and is a Speed-exclusive feature to help denote the trim.

Performance Focused Interior

The interior of the Bentayga Speed reflects the singular performance focus of the new flagship. Standard features include Speed-specific driver information display, Speed badging on the passenger fascia and treadplates, and the Speed embroidered emblem on the seat. The iconic Bentley ‘bullseye’ air vents, organ stops, and central air vents can be finished in dark tint as well as standard chrome.

The seat shoulder panels, door inners, and backboard (four-seat equipped models) all feature a new Precision Diamon quilt design. The Speed color split features a darker secondary hide as the predominant color, which is highlighted by flashes of the primary hide color on seat outers, door, and instrument panel side cheeks.
